Miami FL is home to quite a few museums, many of which make up what is called ‘Museum Park.’ The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is within that park, and it is located at 1101 Biscayne Boulevard. This innovative museum features a planetarium that is very unique. In fact, there are only a dozen others throughout the globe that are similar.
There is an aquarium at this museum, too, that is a total of three levels. All in all, it is suggested that you might spend anywhere from two to three hours seeing all that the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science has to offer. There are quite a few interactive activities, and just wait until you get to the top.
When you do reach the top of this museum, you’re going to be taking in great views of the Miami coastline. The aquarium was mentioned, which contains sharks and other aquatic species. Yet there are also other live animals within this museum, too, such as birds and alligators.
Visitors can touch stingrays and other sea life. There is a musical dance floor with lights. As you can imagine, kids love this museum, making it a great place to take the whole family on vacation. Don’t forget the planetarium, which is one of the main draws.
The building itself is a representation of exquisite architecture, making this institution a first-class attraction. This museum used to be known as the Miami Science Museum, but it has been renamed and relocated. The old museum used to be in Coconut Grove, but as you can see this new facility has been placed right smack dab in the Downtown Miami Museum District.

This museum has only been open since 2017. It is quite new, and it has been in the works since 2011. It took awhile to build and get everything situated at the new location. The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science also features what is called the Knight Learning Center.
